This pad is made of

This pad is made of a thin lightweight plastic vinyl material. It kinda makes a crinkly sound when you move around on it, not loud, but not the same as other air mats I've owned. This mat holds a thicker air cushion than others and provides a comfortable "give" before landing your body on the ground. The size is especially nice for taller and broader bodies. The best part is that it deflates and rolls up with very little effort into the same size roll as it was originally. Compact and lightweight for easy travel and storage. The included storage bag is actually too big.

For context, I've on

For context, I've only ever camped on the ground and a sleeping bag, so this is quite a level-up for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily and quickly you can pump up and deflate the sleeping pad. One element I found very thoughtful is that when you fold the pad over itself to roll up are corresponding snaps on each side. This prevents the pad from getting uneven when you're rolling it up, which allows you to easily roll it and put it away. It does seem a bit taller than the bag, so it requires a bit of stuffing. The pad is thin, and if you put a lot of weight in one spot you'll sink through, but I found laying flat or curled up with my weight evenly distributed was quite comfortable. This is a great addition to my camping gear.

Will this last forever

Will this last forever, no. Will you get your money's worth, yes.I like this for a cheap option. High end versions of this concept freak me out because one mistake and they are basically trash. At this price point, I don't sweat destroying it by accident. This thing is comfortable too.

I have a bad back and sometimes have to sleep on the floor

I have a bad back and sometimes have to sleep on the floor. I use the pad to have a little cushion, works fine. Have had no problems inflating or deflating.

I got this sleeping

I got this sleeping pad to carry in my car for occasional use. When I drive 3-4 hours to a nearby city and plan to return home the same day, I want to take a quick comfortable nap to rest, and this sleeping pad is my solution. The material is soft to the touch, but seems sturdy also. Its easy to inflate with the foot pump. You can even use your hands to pump it if youre in your vehicle and cant stand up. Its comfortable enough for a few hours or nights. Deflates easy and packs small, which I like the most.

I have to say,

I have to say, this is a pretty nice product to have somewhere for emergency situations. Well, not even emergency, but for my situation, I keep it in my car for whatever situation may arise. The small footprint makes it convenient to keep out of the way and I'd say it's "ok" when it comes to pumping it up. A tad cumbersome, but otherwise reasonable.I can't say it's the most comfortable, because I like really soft mattresses and I'd say this leans more on the side of firm. I guess you could not inflate it all the way, but then you'd feel like you're sinking in so I'd suggest you to test it one night on your own floor.

It's been about 2 months of sleeping on this thing

It's been about 2 months of sleeping on this thing. Every once and a while it loses air (happens more and more now) and I blow it back up. It's pretty comfortable - even for side sleepers, though I wouldn't sleep on my stomach on this. Compared to sleeping on the floor, it's obviously more warm, but I don't have the knowledge to speak more on that. If you're using for camping, get it. I mean, it's survived me sleeping and stepping on it daily, it can survive your one day rendezvous in the woods.

I have been camping

I have been camping for over 60 years and have used an air mattress during that time.Intuitive design of this produce does not require the instructions to set up or pack up.This lightweight mattress/pad comes secured with a rubber band & well packed in a small portable sack with instructions and 3 repair patches. I guess that the material is thin and the manufacturer anticipates possible damage.I unrolled it, unfolded it, flipped it upside down (orange side is the back), opened the valve by the pump and started pumping with my foot. The release valve was closed and I was able to pump it fully up in no time like under 1 minute.I closed the valve by the foot pump and flipped the mattress back over(gray side is the top).It is a very long mattress at 79 inches long, 27 inches wide and maybe 2 inches tall. Your head has a pillow so that is higher than the rest of it.It is a little shallow but it does get you off the ground/floor and feels like most air mattresses.I see snaps on both sides, so this mattress allows you to connect multiple mattresses together.I opened up the release valve and let the air out. I rolled it up starting from the pump while squeezing the air out. I then unrolled it, folded it back in thirds lengthwise and again rolled it back starting at the pump.I installed the rubber band over it, easily fit it back in its sack and I cinched up the sack's rope.I took off one of the stars due to the thinness of the material and the shallowness of this matttress. Also one of the patches started to show its adhesive side. I was able to save it though.I will use it when I camp and update my review if that becomes necessary

I like how they integrated the pump into the mattress itself

I like how they integrated the pump into the mattress itself, I also like the integrated pillow. The mattress is thick and comfortable. It seems a bit heavy compared to other mattresses without the pump built in, but that is acceptable for the extra features it provides. Overall this is a pretty good mattress but the price could be a bit lower.

Seems to be ok. Good

Seems to be ok. Good that it's 30" because most of these are too narrow. It does come with two 'patches' but they're literally just a couple small squares of a clear sticker. Not sure if they'll work but can't say they won't. Nice that it has a built in pillow but it's not really great. For the money though, I think it's well worth it even if just to keep as a backup

I love this little inflatable sleeping pad/air mattress

I love this little inflatable sleeping pad/air mattress. It comes in an included nylon carrying bag, and it easily deflates back to its compact original size. If you need to manually inflate it, it has a built in manual air pump in the pillow (but out of the way) that will fill the mattress in about five minutes. It has been comfortable on rocky, uneven ground, and Ive been very pleased with it.

The compact size of this when not in use is wonderful

The compact size of this when not in use is wonderful, taking up very little space. Having owned several other self inflating types of mats, this by far is my favorite mat to date. I was not expecting this to be as comfortable as it is. The comfort level is much better than my other mats and it has not lost any air so far. I am a 6ft 4" man weighing 240 lbs and I have slept on this quite a few times since I received it so I could try it out. I would have to mention that I am not thrilled with the pillow on this, it's a bit awkward in my opinion. It only takes about 5-6 pumps (with the built in inflator) to get this fully inflated and the air releases quickly when you're ready to deflate it. There are 3 included repair patches included and it has a handy carrying bag as well.

Man oh man

Man oh man, why didn't I have an inflatable pad in Iraq? I was stuck using a closed cell foam pad, and I can tell you from great personal experience, that THIS product is infinitely superior.Inflation was a snap thanks to the integral foot pump. The idea with one of these is to create a small air pocket barrier between you and the ground, and this accomplishes that easily. It also seems pretty durable and should provide years of service on my camping trips.I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who may find themselves out caping, as it is a GREAT bargain.

super easy to pack.

Took a star just because the most attractive thing about this is the internal pump, which they claim you can just step on it to pump air in it, but I actually found this quite difficult and easier to use your hands instead. Other than that, is pretty comfortable once you fill it up, very long (over 6 ft sure) and super easy to pack.

Looking forward to the next trip to try this out!

A recent trip involved sleeping on cots and we were looking for a way to improve on the comfort of the hard cots. This looks like it will help immensely! Looking forward to the next trip to try this out!

This is actually super comfortable

This is actually super comfortable. I didn't expect it to be so comfortable. It's compact and doesn't need much air. It sits up higher and comes with a pillow which was nice. We used a sleeping bag with it because it was freezing and it was super cozy. It fits easily in our backpacks.

This sure seems to be a durable, comfortable air mattress

This sure seems to be a durable, comfortable air mattress. Time will tell (so my standard 4, rather than 5 stars - which I'll update when I go camping!)The seams look tight, the mattress has a soft side and a side that looks like it might resist sliding on the tent floor (or on a cot), the plug is very well designed, and the whole thing rolls up tightly.Come with four repair patches (hope that isn't a bad sign!)

Good product though.

We have a couple of different varieties of these backpacking mattresses and I think this is my favorite so far. At first I wasn't too sure about the method of blowing it up, but once figured out which way worked best it was super simple. It suggests that you can either use your foot or hands to "pump it up". For me, the foot method didn't work great. When I decided to use my hands, I noticed an immediate difference with the amount of air getting pumped in. It maybe took me one minute so set it all up.It has a decent comfort level. I haven't tried it overnight yet though. One down side is the size. The other ones I have compact to a shorter size, this one is a bit longer by about 2 inches. Good product though.

we've had zero issues with it to date!

This thing packs small! We were able to find a perfect place for it in our pack making it very easy and convenient to take on the go with us! It's lightweight but strong and sturdy giving us comfort that we'll stay not only comfortable but dry when we go camping or just to hang out in the wilderness! :)Also we've found it to be rather useful at home as the kids love to jump around on it and have lots of fun! It's been pretty resistant to kids being kids and we've had zero issues with it to date!

Would recommend especially for someone who is taller.

Whats great about this air mattress is it needs less air and is higher off the ground than most. You dont want to fill it all the way or it will be too firm. The mattress was comfortable and had a built in pillow. If you like larger pillows and want to save on space, an extra travel pillow in addition to the built in one would be perfect. Im not that tall but a person who is 510 or 6 or taller would probably be ok with the length as well. There was a lot of foot room at the end for me. I dont know if this is a down side or not: The 'foot pump' was easier to use by getting down on the ground and using both hands to fill the mattress. If youre in a low tent that is probably better. Just make sure theres some padding under the pump. Maybe someone will have a different experience or if you find the pump was hard to use with your foot, try the alternative. Another perk was folding it back up and putting it in the travel bag it came with. Just make sure the plug near the end of it is undone and roll it back up. I followed the creases and it fit in the travel pouch perfectly. For what it is, its light. Its still a bit on the heavier than normal but my guess is because its longer (more material) and because the walls of the mattress are more durable. Would recommend especially for someone who is taller.

The Atepa insulated

The Atepa insulated sleeping pad in its packed size is 10" long with a 4.5" diameter in the included stuff sack with two elastic bands and weighs 23.7oz. It does not include instructions, directions or warranty info other than on the online ad. The valve is the type you must push in to deflate. While it maybe not ideal, it can be done with your finger or with a pump adapter and works well. When uninflated the mattress is 26" wide and 78" (6'6") long. It is 3" thick when inflated. Even side sleepers will find it very comfortable. The mattress uses a very comfortable waffle style baffling rather than parallel tubes. The dimples are not offset so while comfortable it might be warmer if they were offset, perhaps in the next version it will be an option. The info online lists the R-value as 3.3. It should be good for 25F although I have not yet tested at this temperature. An inflation sack might be a plus for those who don't carry an electric air pump.

This is a great sleeping pad

This is a great sleeping pad. The best part is it rolls up super small and its light I hardly notice it on my pack. Its comfortable and kept the chill of the cold ground from sucking the heat from my body. It was about 32 degrees when I used it and combined with my sleeping bag I had a warm sleep. I would recommend
