KingCamp Mondome II tent

The best feature has to be its portability, it can easily fit in your backpack (50x13x13cm).
Light too at only 2.45kg.
I like that is made of good quality polyester with PU waterproof coated fabric - 3000mm and windproof and stable. Another quality detail is the 4 metal corners. It was easy to put together. It looks very good and it's good value for money.
I was impressed with its size, you can even snug in 3 people. Plenty 9f space for two people. A big thumbs up for the ceiling ventilation allowing all the humidity to disappear, and of you need extra ventilation you can open the back window.
All openings have mosquito mesh which will prevent others bugs from entering your tent.
The zippers are good quality and can be open from inside and outside.
In terms of storage there's 2 pockets on each side.
The poles connect with eachother magnetically.
Forgot to mention about the ceiling hook for hanging your lantern.

Great quality tent, looks forward to use it outside and see how it can outstand leakage.

I bought this tent for our outdoor trips and I absolutely loved it. It's spacious, comfortable, and made of durable materials. I really like that it includes a space for a stove, which is ideal for camping in colder climates. It's easy to set up and is perfect for spending time outdoors with friends or family.

I would have taken more pictures, but I was trying to get this up in some awful conditions. First thing you must know is the instructions are just awful. They are so bad. I'm still not sure if I put it up correctly or not, but it is holding.

There is a rod that extends. This rod goes inside the tent to hold the apex of the roof. The instructions do not a great job at depicting this as well. Oh, and everything is in Chinese.

The tent is super heavy, which is to be expected since it is insulated. But I believe it is something like 66lbs. Be prepared for that.

The construction seems pretty solid. I was really having to pull and yank to push on the rods to get this up. Nothing tore. The door zippers work really well. Smooth operation.

The hole for the smoke pipe is quite large. It looks to be about a 4" diameter hole. I didn't measure it. It would be nice if it came with two different sizes as I lose a lot of heat with the opening around my 2" pipe.

Things that could be improved:
There is a pole that goes right in the middle of each doorway. So no matter what, you're bound to run into it. Something needs to change there.

This comes with an opening in the wall and one in the roof for smoke pipes. There are velcroed in place. One could be the diameter they have and the other could be smaller or a set of each size to help prevent heat loss. That would be great.

Move the heat to the middle of the wall. Each doorway has a mesh door on the inside of the insulated door. So if you come in on the side with the stove, say when you're bringing wood in, chances are really good if that synthetic mesh of hitting the stove and melting. That is something you need to be really cautious of.

Overall, really nice. Temperamental to put up and even harder to put away, but it came with all the stakes and even some twist in anchors. Really nice for longer camping.

I love the looks of this tent. It's very roomie it fits our family of 5. I believe I had a defective item though because the pole keeps popping off. Maybe mine just had a design flaw. I gave it 5 stars because I never have problems with this company's products. I bought few products from king kamp before. To me they have good quality. I reached out to the customer service and they fixed the issues I had. Their customer service is great and very helpful. I would definitely keep buying from this company.

I've really liked the products I've tried from KingCamp and this one is no exception. It's a great just everyday basic camping tent. It's an instant style tent, which is so easy to use. I can't express how much I prefer the newer instant style tents > older pole style tents. I had this tent up in literally 10 seconds before staking down the sides. It's about 9' x 9' square. Perfect for 2-3 people. I love the versatility of the tent. It was raining almost the entire trip I took this out to try it out. It held up amazingly. I had zero water inside the tent. The rainfly part is so easy to put on with the clips. The zippers worked smoothly. The vents were nice to keep a little bit of airflow. I really don't have any complaints about this tent. It's perfect for a couple or a small family. I'd absolutely recommend it!

This tent seems sturdy and well made so far. I like the ability to use a tent stove with it, although I haven't tried that part out just yet. It is a big, heavy tent. Just so there's no confusion, this isn't the tent you want to carry a far distance. I'm excited to have a tent that will hopefully be more comfortable in colder weather! I'll update if problems arise.

Bought this tent back in April, 2025 based on a friend’s recommendation. Didn’t get to set up until this past weekend. One of the end arches is fused together instead of springing into place as it should. It’s actually bent into the other piece. So not very secure structurally as it may snap with a high wind.
I’m outside the Amazon return date but for the price I hope the company will do the right thing and replace the end piece. Otherwise, will not be using as a 3 season tent
Updated 7/20/2025: I contacted the company directly and they quickly responded to my concerns. I sent in pictures and information and although it took some time the defective pole was replaced. I am happy to recommend King Camp because they stand behind the products they sell. One thing I suggest is taking a picture of the box information as that was the one thing they requested that I did not have. But KingCamp still did the right thing. I would buy from them again. This is like the military tents my dad used in in the army. It’s heavy made of a canvas material like carhartt feeling material. It’s a 4 season tent so you can use it from
Summer to winter with no issues. It has a place for a hot stove which is cool.

Once you have it setup it’s big enough for like 4 cots. It’s literally like a military tent from the looks and feel of it. Idk if it’s as strong but I’ll edit this post if something should happen.

Setup wasn’t that hard it’s pretty straightforward. I always watch YouTube videos before doing the setups to make sure I have everything figured out. All and all this is a nice heavy duty tent that the whole family can stay

I got this tent to replace an aging instant pop up tent from Core. This one is made similarly to the one in the big box store but it has some cool features I haven't seen before.

The rain fly extends a tad beyond the footprint of the tent, leaving a small vestibule for shoes/gear - that's awsome.

The setup is very, very fast. With two people, it really could be done in less than a minute. The whole thing is like a big umbrella.

A somewhat unique feature that makes it more than just a camping tent is the double opening making it into a good sun shelter for beach use.

I do worry about how much wind it can withstand. I think you absolutely need to stake it and use the rainfly to kind of solidify the structural integrity. It's a three season tent, but not in high winds.

The whole thing is plenty light for car camping. You could use it for short backpack trips if you're in a group and can offset some gear to another person, but it wouldn't be my first choice for backpacking. The quick mechanisms just add too much bulk and weight to make it the first pick.

The material seems at least as durable as anything you could find at Walmart or Big5. Maybe a bit below the Nordstrom's of outdoor gear level.

Overall, a cool tent that makes your life easier and competes well with high end brands.

Nice big tent, we like the extra space when camping with a family. Not easy to put up but I've never met a tent that was. Decent quality, folds up small but heavy.

Das Zelt konnte ich alleine nicht aufbauen, wir mussten doch zu zweit sein. Es dauerte doch etwas länger als es im Video den Anschein machte, auch sind nicht alle Schritte sofort im Video erkennbar, so dass ich die Spann Seile zuerst falsch angebracht habe. In der ersten Nacht nach Aufbau hat es anständig geschüttet. Im Zelt ist es aber dennoch trocken geblieben.

Roomy. High ceilings allow you stand up easily. It’s reasonably well made. Is easy enough to assemble if you understand tents. It’s a great compromise tent if you don’t want to deal with the weight of a canvas tent, and don’t want to deal with the limitations of a hub style pop up tent. Think you could expect a few seasons of regular use out of this. Heavy users or regular campers might want something more robust.

Spacious and easy to assemble

Good for a small family, it has worked good in both rain and windy conditions. Seems sturdy and the materials are durable. Definitely a good bit weight to it if you plan to carry this a distance and I would say you definitely need a second person to help setup. Setup is easily done, setup took me about 15 minutes with 2 people. Fit 4 adults comfortably with room. Used the awning porch area for a setting area to stay out of the rain, I love that aspect of the tent!

We were able to store our cooking supplies under the awning which came in handy during the rain. Get out and explore....

Huge, easier than I expected to set up and take down. Seems durable, fantastic quality!

Will be perfect to fit 2 people and our 2 large dogs. Plus I really liked the covered area out front to allow for rug space and to be able to wipe off feet before getting into the tent. Haven't been able to use yet since it is now Winter, but am looking forward to camping this Spring!
