ATEPA 1-Person Ultralight Backpacking Tent

I go on many camping and backpacking trips and this has been an amazing little tent. I have set up camp on rocks, roots, grass, and other things that could puncture the tent and it has held up. I do have a footprint that I will use on occasion but when I backpack I leave that at home. I have never had condensation on the inside of my tent like I have with past tents. I have raved to everyone about my little tent. It’s super light weight and extremely stable and durable. It’s lasted through storms where I was kept completely dry. This is literally the best bang for your buck. I set this up on a fb live and everyone was so shocked how quick I was able to set it up. There is plenty of space my a sleeping pad and you still have 6+ inches of space to bring in belongings you don’t want outside. The two doors and vestibules are amazing! I always store my pack on the vestibule side that I do not go in or out of while my shoes and anything I need quick access to are in the front. I literally can’t say enough good things about this tent.

I recently used this tent for a day trip/picnic, and it was absolutely fantastic! Since I am not a backpacker, I was looking for something simple, and I was so happy with how quick and easy it was to set up. It kept us completely free from mosquitoes and bugs all day long while we relaxed. It is lightweight, very spacious, and overall a wonderful purchase. Highly recommended for a hassle-free day in nature!

Great for sunny and very hot climates like Florida's, I setted up my tent on the sun (no shade) and the mesh was still able to give me some cooling by ventilation while the cover gave me a break from the sun itself.
The mesh and zippers don't let any bugs enter besides the ones you bring on you by accident lol

Small but great for carrying on bag pack.
Solo traveler would love it..
Will love to use in my next hiking trip

I was looking for a tent for camping so I ordered this one. The package includes a tent storage bag, inner and outer layer, and stakes with a storage bag. The tent storage bag has a buckle and a handle. It is a lightweight tent easy to carry along. The instructions are attached to a storage bag as well as QR Code for a link to video installation. The tent is easy to set up if you follow the instructions properly. You can set this tent in different modes. It is specious. It can accommodate 2 people. It also has additional space for belongings. It has netting for good air circulation and protection from mosquitoes. It has mesh storage and a light hook. It has two way zippers. You can go in and out easily. Overall this is a good quality tent for camping. I liked it and recommended it.

ATEPA Ultralight 2 Person Camping Tent:

I did not set the tent up in the sun on a hot day, in the wind or while besieged by biting insects.

The first setup is the most complicated. Two pages of pictures with text are sewn into the stuff sack. The text is small and the pictures are as well. Line drawings might be easier to decipher. A QR code links to a setup video which goes much faster than reading the text and viewing the pictures.

The fabric is either Ripstop Nylon or Fine Mesh Screen. There are 12 aluminum 3-corner stakes...red for visibility. Tie-down ropes are braided and about 2mm diameter.
Assembling the rods is like taking a spider web apart, but there is a satisfying click when the rods link together on their own.

The rain fly goes nearly to the ground and overlaps the bathtub floor.
Seams are double-stitched AND taped.

There are vents on each end with a prop to hold the vent open. Mmmm...ventilation.

This is light weight for a 2 person tent and it boasts almost 30 square feet of sleeping space and additional space for gear and shoes in the vestibules.

I did not assemble the vestibule floor or insert all the stakes.

*I like the green color of the rain fly and the dark color of the inner tent which helps to blend in with the surroundings instead of giving the poison frog aura. The black inner tent will aid in seeing the night sky if used without rain fly.*

I'm leery of the cross piece in the center of the aluminum poles.

In strong wind, experience says that the tent will roll like a tumbleweed if not staked down and tied out which could, and probably will, cause irreparable damage.

Many lesser tents will only last a summer or two if setup where UV light degrades the fabric for weeks at a time. Archaeologist field crews bear that observation out.

This Tent is very easy to set up, and can be moved after setup. It is good for a wide range of temperatures and very lightweight. The space inside is very compact but doable for two people and generous for one person. I set it up on a calm day and did not stake it out so the fly was not tensioned fully on the photos. I would suggest some sort of ground tarp/cloth as a possible add on to this setup.

I was really surprised at how well this held up while camping.

This was everything I was looking for in a tent that can roll up into a nice compact size for hiking. I really was looking for a simple model and it easily fits one person and two if you like the other person. It was very easy to pop up and the material is a great quality for the outdoors. So lightweight and easy. Highly recommend!

if you need to go lighter than this, youre an insane thru hiker and arent even considering something this cheap. so that means this sucker is for you, cause youre looking for something not hella cheap but not hella expensive. this tent is the perfect $28 of wine, catch my drift? the quality is levels above anything cheaper, but its a bit heavy to be the expensive stuff. whats the difference? this tent is made with quality design and materials, but its isnt that super expensive coated materials that basically wicks away water forever. any cloth material that isnt coated like that will eventually get wet. think of a wind jacket versus an umbrella. the umbrella is made of materials that makes it never get wet but its also weak. a wind breaker is tougher and a lot of rain gets slicked down it...but it will eventually get wet. all tents under $400 are made of that tougher, but not rain proof material...and generally its fine, even if youre doing a 3 day trip and have to pack it up kinda wet. its not fine if youre doing weeks at a time and everything has to just work on the trail no matter what happens. even if the material gets wet, youll still be dry inside the tent, but putting it away wet leads to yucky tent, if you dont dry it out after a few days of that. but yeah, great design, materials, everything.

Honestly I don't do reviews much but everyone MUST know that this tent is INCREDIBLE. I've had it for years now and it is still holding up strong and I am destructive w gear. I will never buy another tent. I hope hyke and byke know how fantasticly made their product is. Yall look no where else buy this tent you will not be disappointed.
It's super light weight, holds up in some pretty gnarly weather and can be put up in minutes even in a damn near hurricane.

Compact, easy. Good for solo trips, but no real extra space for gear (of course, it's a small tent!)

This tent is well priced and easy to set up. I set it up in my backyard as soon as I received it. It helped that it was a windy day. It was a good test. Starting with the positives: lite weight, easy set up, great ventilation, love the 2 doors. I would suggest purchasing a footprint ground cover to go with it. The reason I scored it at 4 is because there are a couple of design flaws. The steaks that come with it are lite but hard to use. I will use different steaks that have a hook. The storage part is useless. It’s a dirt /water catcher. I will push it under the tent and not use it.Another flaw is there is nothing in the middle to hold it down. The wind gets underneath and lifts it. It could use loops to steak down the center too. I will be keeping the tent because of the amazing ventilation and ease of set up.

This backpacking tent is lightweight, and is comfortably sized for one person. It is well made – quality construction and components throughout. It has good seams and is waterproof. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, but the storage bag could be bigger. All in all, it’s a very good basic tent.

Amazing tent, well made, easy to tear down. I wish it could be compacted a bit smaller, but for what you get I think the size is perfectly acceptable!

After months of anticipation due to weather delays, I finally had the chance to take this tent into the field, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Setup is quick and intuitive—just what you want when arriving at camp late or in less-than-ideal conditions.

Despite being lightweight, the tent feels solid in wind and held up beautifully in somewhat wet conditions. There's plenty ample space for one person with gear, and it even works for two, though it’s cozier. Ventilation and mesh coverage are great, and I especially appreciate the included guy lines and stakes—no need to make extra purchases. For backpackers, motorcyclists, or anyone needing a compact but capable 3- to 4-season tent, this is a phenomenal choice that punches far above its weight. Just an incredible product all around.
