Initial review. We like the mattress. Seems to be well made. It does not self inflate, not even slightly, so it is actually a foot pump inflatable mattress. Easy to inflate with the foot pump. If you like a flat surface the wavy surface may bother you. Family member with back problems likes this mattress and the waviness better than her regular mattress. Makes some crunchy noise when you move around on it, sort of like when you are trying to secretly open a bag of chips but other family members can hear it and come to check on you and “help”.
We ended up using this right away as we needed it to bring to a festival I was shooting in Oregon. Something small, lightweight and easy to pack for trecking up a property that was not kind to large loads of cargo. This air pad did just the trick! Shipping was speedy and comfort was comforting. Didn't see any or much reviews for this product online and was skeptical, but it worked out great. Excited to use it for more camping adventures! Please note: Just like any air mattress, you do need to pump it up daily for full firm padding, but we did it in less than 10 minutes when there was no air/completely flat and it only took a minute or two from there each night to add some more air in when we needed it. Hope others enjoy this too!
Wow, we’re thrilled to hear the KingCamp COMFORT DUO 9 Double Air Pad was the perfect companion for your Oregon festival adventure! It’s fantastic that it met your needs—lightweight, easy to pack, and durable enough for rugged treks. We love that it kept you comfortable (and that shipping was speedy too!).
Your detailed feedback is incredibly valuable, especially for fellow campers who might be on the fence. The tip about daily inflation is super helpful—thanks for sharing your experience so others know what to expect!
We’re so glad you took a chance on us, and even happier that it paid off. Here’s to many more cozy nights under the stars with your air pad! If you ever need gear recommendations or support for future trips, we’re here for you.
Happy camping,
The Broadout Team
good for camping!
Two adults and a 7years old slept on this mattress for two nights camping and it did not deflate. It was a bit small for three humans but great quality and packs away super small. We used a small air pump to inflate so I haven’t used the foot pump but I like that it has both options.
I ordered the comfort duo 9. Now ill start by saying i read some reviews that said they bought the duo but theirs was 2 singles that snapped together. I liked the sound of that because my husband has medical issues that cause him to constantly sleep uncomfortably which in turn he tosses and turns. So i thought cool ill get this one and ill have my own air i sleep on but we can still be attached thats really neat. Not the case the one i recieved was a true double. No snapping together, but thats ok because what i recieved was what the sale page actually showed. I probably mis understood the review and made an assumption. While the snapping together was a neat thing i was wanting, it wasnt my why for scooping this pad up. I was looking for something small and light weight we can car camp/backpack/kayak camp with and not have to have 400 different mats. And the price point was really good as well, some of these mats cane be $200. I always forget my pillow so having a built in one is cool not my fave and not the most comfortable for me but for a few nights in the woods im good with it. Im excited to try this out in a couple weeks for a tent camping trip we are doing. Ill update after that.
Update: we went camping for 2 nights with this mattress directly on the ground at the coast where it got down to 50f degrees at night. We both slept so comfortably on this, side, back and stomach all were comfortable. I like sleeping with my pillow under my chest and head so i thought the built in pillow would be uncomfortable to me but i just scooted down a little and used my pillow and didnt even notice it. My husband slept very well also. So mentioned above i was looking at the snap together ones so there wasnt an issue with bouncing when one tossed or turned, even though this one was one solid unit we still had no issues with feeling excessive movement from the other. There was a tiny bit of air loss because of the temperature drop at night but a couple pumps from the built in foot pump before the next nights sleep and no problem. This folds and rolls back into the provided bag with ease (note: im a weirdo who actually makes the tent fit back into the provided bag with room to spare so take that with the grain of salt provided).
If i had to buy another mattress id definitely be buying this one again.
Pros:
Spacious design (75.6" x 49.2" x 3.5") accommodates two people with a built-in pillow for added support.
Lightweight and compact when folded (11.8" x 5.9", 3.5 lbs), making it easy to carry for outdoor activities.
Built-in foot pump inflates the pad in just 60 seconds, with an additional 2-in-1 valve for optional air pump use.
Made with durable 20D nylon and TPU coating for waterproofing and tear resistance, ensuring reliability on rough terrains.
Ergonomic ripple design and strip columns evenly distribute body weight for a comfortable sleeping experience.
Versatile for various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, or backpacking.
Cons:
Foot pump may take longer to inflate if not used correctly or consistently.
The thickness (3.5") may not provide sufficient cushioning for heavier users on extremely uneven ground.
Summary:
This double camping sleeping pad offers an excellent combination of comfort, portability, and durability. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, it features an easy-to-use foot pump, ergonomic support, and a lightweight, compact form for hassle-free travel. The TPU-coated nylon ensures waterproof and tear-resistant performance, though users might need to ensure proper inflation for maximum comfort. A great upgrade for couples or families seeking quality sleep during outdoor adventures.
Works well for value and lightweight camping option for couple or two
This pad is great. Easy to set up and to put away. And most important, seems to be a long lasting pad.
This was easy to blow up, didn’t deflate at all and definitely saved my back. However, I still put a blanket underneath the pad as this alone would have been a little cold and not quite enough padding between the hard ground and myself.
Can't say enough good things about this camping mat/air mattress. Easy to pump up, very quick too. Was skeptical at first glance about the comfort, but I woke up not sore at all after sleeping on it two nights in a row. Never had to refill air on the second night, held its shape fine.
I didn't try snapping the two mats together, but I'm sure it works. Very nice to have two separate mats because in traditional air mattresses for two people, you feel every single movement the other person makes....and with these, you don't feel that movement. Makes for a better night's sleep.
Deflating was a breeze and deflated even quicker than pumping it up. Rolled it up and put back in the carrying bag, ready for the next trip!
I did have a small breed dog (under 15 pounds) join me in the mat and while it says it's puncture resistant, I did lay an open sleeping bag over the mat, just to protect it a bit more. One open sleeping bag will cover the two mats just fine.
Love this bed! This was my first time trying any sort of packable camping bed and it did not disappoint. Easy to inflate with the step pad or to blow up by mouth. Stayed fully inflated all night. Packed up after each use and used 3 nights in a row. No back pain or soreness. It fit perfectly inside my sleeping bag which helped it stay in place. Easy to deflate and fits perfectly back into the bag it comes in.
Used the foot pump to inflate the double mattress. It did take some time and some trial and error to get it to pump the mattress full of air. Regardless of the time needed, the foot pump is a nice alternative to an electric air pump.I like that the mattress is so compact when rolled up. The bag is nice and features a toggle spring stop for the cord which locks it into place. The mattress does keep you off the ground and does not seem to leak over time. Since I do not camp, I will get this out when the grandkids come over. They love to sleep on the floor.I will recommend this air mattress especially because the built-in foot pump makes it convenient to use anywhere. In my opinion, the mattress is on the higher price side, but since camping equipment is known to be expensive it is probably on par with comparable mattresses.
My husband and I are big time campers and love to go into the Boundary Waters, which means we are always looking for light weight but comfortable sleeping set ups. We are both in out 60's and are tall. My Husband is 6ft in,190 lbs and myself 5ft 10in, at 245lbs.The King Camp Sleeping Pads 2 pack is a good buy. The length once blown up is 77 inches long 27 inches wide and about 2.4 inch thick on the area that you would put your body..The pillow part is a bit higher then 2.4 in., it is a nice height for side sleeping. For us sleeping on the pads we are happy that we can stretch out without our feet going off the edge. Moving about on the mat was easy and comfortable. To my surprise I thought they would be more noise (plastic sound). but once we laid down the noise was very minimal and did not wake up when every we had to adjust our sleeping positions. The snap together is nice, but we fine that the two top snaps after the pillow tend to get undone when getting settled in for the night. But the bottom snaps that are from the mid hip to feet stayed together. We like the snap together because ti keeps the pads from sliding about and out from under us during the night. We are in a two person tent and the Pads cover the floor of the tent and when you will for sure find camping sites that are level the mats being snapped together helps and makes the beds seem more stable in the tent.Comfort – We did not bottom out when sleeping. Kept us up and off the ground all night. For camping the pads are comfortable.Packing and Unpacking – each mat has it's own bag that comes with instructions and repair patches. The mats each have an elastic band that hold it in place. The elastic band is cheep and I don't think they will last a season, already the are starting to deteriorate, but not a deal breaker. To unpack I put one mat at a time into the tent and foot pump it up. The pumping seems to take longer then I was expecting, but once you get into the swing of it goes well. Hint on pumping up the pads, lift your foot off the pump completely (exposing the pump hole) on the up motion then press down. The pillow will blow up first once that is blown up the rest of the bed goes quickly. To deflate you just need to unplug the vent on the pillow. It deflates quickly. When rolling it up I keep the deflate plug open. I fold the bed into 3 parts the long way and start rolling it up from the foot pump. By the time you get to the pillow the extra air can be removed easily. Once air is squeezed out I close the deflate plug and put the elastic band around and slip back in the bags. The bag make it easy to slide into our back packs.
Product was as described and easy to set up/tear down for my motorcycle trips
As for the use, the foot inflation worked unexpectedly good, seems comfortable enough. I have a good use case in a couple weeks and will report if anything is different from what I expect to be.
