ATEPA Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad R Value 6 with Pump Sack

This inflatable mattress is great for saving space and transport. It's super easy to set up. I've used it several times during my camping trips, and it's worked really well for me.

This pad took less than 2 minutes to pump up with my tiny pump on high. Unfortunately my Flextail Zero Pump does not have an adapter that fits this pad. Deflation and pack up was easy: simply pull the deflate part of the valve open, give it a moment and then trifold lengthwise. Then it's more of a fold and less of a roll to get it back in the bag. If you follow the creases you'll see what I mean. Because of the material, it is easier to fold up than many pads. This is also good for sleeping; it's not slippery as some pads.

The length and width measurements in the description are true (72 x 25 inches). This is a perfect pad size for me. It accomadates my body (5'8", 220#) and my sleeping habits (toss turn, back, side, stomach, side). It is comfortable in all of these positions. It is noisy due to the insulation in it. However, it is most noisy where you are laying down and less noisy when you toss and turn.

The weight measurements 1.42 lbs alone and 1.54 lbs with the bag on my scale. The description says 1.3 lbs. On the pad alone, that's a difference of 2 oz. which is significant, I think. But, I'm very happy with the weight if it's R-value is indeed 6.

Time and use will determine the durability and strength of insulation.

20-d strong but lightweight material, seven layer construction.. well made with reinforcements... Price is about the same as the other name brand we buy and the quality is comparable. Wonderful two way valve makes inflating and deflating it super easy.

Way above average in quality from most other UL backpacking air mattresses you’ll come across here. Made with the ripstop grid pattern that I love and which I believe adds greatly to the reliability and durability of any mattress. It’s also insulated, meaning it has a light foam on the inside, something insist on these days. Excellent, comfortable, ultralight, ultrapackable air mattress.

I bought five of these mats for a family camping trip including two adults and three kids. We were flying, so I needed a compact sleeping mat solution I could pack in airline luggage; I also wanted something small and light enough for backpacking when my kids are older. I was very pleased with these mats, which held up well over four nights of summer camping. After inflation, four of the five mats did not need any additional air; Sleep quality was pretty good; definitely not your home mattress, but perfectly suitable for family camping. Not too noisy. It was pretty easy to deflate and repack the mats, which fit back into their original bags easily; my 13-year-old did it without help.

This have a durable material and great quality overall. It is easy to inflate, deflate, and packs down small for travel. Provides good insulation and support, making comfortable for camping.

Highly recommend this affordable lightweight sleeping pad. We've used this product quite a bit and have always had great experience with it while creating unforgettable family memories! Very compact for backpacking, inflates easily and take down is a breeze. Gives a fantastic thermal barrier and a comfortable night sleep. We've yet to experience any leaks and it does come with a patch kit if needed.

ATEPA 6 R-Value Insulated Sleeping Pad: Just got it so it must be tried out before it is taken out into the wilds. The one way valve makes inflation easier through the “bag pump” is rather odd & leaves much to be desired. I can’t believe I am saying this but it may need instructions on the proper way to use the “bag pump” because I tried several that I could think of & just kept wondering if I was doing it correctly. I mean there are already three tags sewn on inside the bag & two of them go over product materials so…

I did manage to get it inflated and it was okay to lay on comfort wise. The biggest thing—and what I selected it for—was that within minutes of laying down I did begin to feel warmth on my back. I am a cold sleeper and other air mattress I have tried are horribly akin to lying on ice cubes. I had no idea they came insulated before now & was not sure this claim was truthful. It is & I am looking forward to not freezing on my next adventure.

Now, if I can just get the inflation method worked out……

Went backpacking on the Eagle Creek trail in Oregon and tried the Atepa sleep pad out. Because of limited camping space, we had to set down in a less than ideal location. I ended up sleeping on 2 huge tree roots and didn't feel a thing. Slept like a baby.
I can't review what it is like in cold weather yet. But it has an r-rating of 6. Looking forward to using it again.

I’ve been really happy with this sleeping pad! The quality of the materials feels solid and well-made, and I like the green color. It inflates quickly, and the large valve makes deflating it fast and easy too—no struggling to roll out the air.

The comfort level is excellent. It’s surprisingly firm and supportive for how lightweight and packable it is. There is a bit of a crinkling sound from the insulation, but that’s completely expected and honestly worth it for the warmth it provides. The insulation really makes a difference on cold nights, and it seems very durable overall.

It packs down easily into its carrying bag, which is great for storage and transport. We usually use an electric pump that we keep in the car for car camping, but my son tested the included inflation bag, and it actually worked really well. It’s nice to have that option, especially for when we take it on a backpacking trip.

Overall, a fantastic sleeping pad. Comfortable, well-designed, and versatile. I’d definitely recommend it!

The first time I inflated it, it looked a bit thin but after blowing into it a few times and lying down on it, the support for my back was excellent

This sleeping bad is extremely portable and extremely comfortable. It is perfect for travel or camping. I like the bright color too.

Use in the winter on the snow and was great 🤗

This is a very lightweight pad when it is deflated., It can roll up very tight to take up less space in the bag. The bag doubles as a manual air pump to blow up the pad, which is very awkward to do. In theory, that's great, in practice, I'd rather just blow it up myself.

The ATEPA Ultralight Camping Sleeping Pad arrived intact and well packaged.
The mat is high-quality and of good quality. The color is great. Everything is well made and error-free. The storage bag is also of high quality. The mat is super light and you can lie on it very comfortably. It takes a few minutes to inflate, but I don't find that annoying.

A bellows are included, in the form of a transport bag. Since I only read the description afterwards, my small pump inflated the mattress. It is actually really comfortable and kept 2 people relaxed. The workmanship looks good and the overall condition looks high-quality. Even after a few days, the air was fine. Now it's in my bike bag and is going on a trip soon.

Only an air mattress offers such comfort. This one is equipped with aluminum foil, which should also provide insulation. Normal air mattresses are like a hammock, offer no insulation. This is not a problem in summer, but it can be unpleasant when it is very cold. A sleeping bag doesn't help, you compress it with your own body weight.
I can't say yet to what extent this mat actually insulates.

We also tested them for swimming. Of course, it doesn't carry quite as well as a large mat, but it works, with 70kg you're about at the waterline. She withstood this mission; nothing escaped.

The mat has a large valve, with a recoil valve, and can also be opened to drain.

The paint is really poisonous, it comes into its own thanks to the aluminum foil.

This is the second atepa product I’ve gotten and I have to say that this brand is quite impressive. I’m normally an REI loyal customer for things like this for the warranty but I’m starting to realize I can trust this brand. This mat is as good as my kids $200 pad, I’m just as comfortable and there is great ground insulation. Blew up reasonably quickly.

This is so small then folded! And lightweight. Perfect for backpacking. It fits well in the bag, and easy to put back in. Make sure you fold it correctly. Otherwise you'll have issues.

The color isn't quite as bright green as they picture. But its still a nice green color.

The material is kinda slick. Pretty thin and it needs to be too be so compact. But it seems like good quality material. It seems durable.

It's actually pretty comfortable! And works for side sleeping as well without touching the ground.

This has good insulation so you won't get cold from the ground. However part of the insulation is like a aluminum foil type material inside. And it does crinkle like aluminum foil. So it's not silent like they say. If sounds bother you that may be an issue.
However it didn't bother me when I slept on it. Noises do bother me when I sleep so this isn't that bad if it didn't bother me.

Inflation wasn't that hard, definitely doable with the bag. Takes some work. Especially if you are tired from backpacking. But works for sure.

It's large enough for me being 5'10". With enough room to put a pillow.

I grabbed this as a replacement for an old busted air mat that I've got, and I cannot express how much better this one is. It is plush when inflated, and keeps you well off the ground. It's easy to inflate, either using the included pump sack or jut your mouth, too. The mat is very warm, as well, with what seems to be a reflective layer near the top of the mat. Very happy with this mat, and I'll definitely be using it as my go-to for backpacking.
