ATEPA PROMOTER Down Mummy 0 Sleeping Bag

The Atepa double sleeping bag is extremely warm and comfortable. The sleeping bag easily compresses down to a small size for storage in the bag. The quality of the sleeping bag is very high.

I tested the sleeping bag several nights ago with my girlfriend. We went fishing on a cold windy night. The sleeping bag easily accommodated both of our adult bodies and had room to spare for our cat too.

Overall, this is a wonderful sleeping bag that has a rating of zero degree making it ideal for cold-weather camping.

I’m 6’2” and most mummy bags leave my feet pressed against the end. The 82.7” length and ergonomic foot box gave me actual room to move. The 850g of down feels super lofty, and the bag packs down impressively small. Used it on a 3-day backpacking trip in the Smokies (lows ~25°F) and stayed warm every night. The YKK zipper never snagged, and the dual compression sacks made packing easy. Worth every penny.

I upgraded from a bulky synthetic bag, and the difference is night and day. The PROMOTER 850 packs down to about the size of a volleyball, which freed up so much space in my pack. The 17.6°F limit rating feels accurate — I slept comfortably at 22°F with just a fleece liner. The shell fabric is soft but feels durable, and I love the contrast color design (looks way more modern than most boring bags). If you’re on the fence, just buy it.

I absolutely love this sleeping bag. It is very light, compact, easy to pack, and well-made. However, I do not believe it is good enough for 20F degree weather unless you wear super warm clothes and add a blanket inside. It's perfect for 40F, 50F weather.

I bought this for late fall backpacking in the Northeast. Lows were in the low 20s, and I stayed warm all night. The 650FP down is lofty but compressed easily into my pack. I’m 5’6” and had plenty of foot room. The internal pocket is handy for keeping my phone from freezing. One small thing I appreciated: the two-way zipper means I can vent from the bottom if I get too warm. Great bag for the weight and price.

This bag packs down super small and is very light. Exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t used it yet, hopefully it keeps me warm enough in the mountains.

I’ve been a down sleeping bag snob for years, but I couldn’t justify dropping $500+ on a big-name brand. The PROMOTER 850 is a game-changer. The 850g of 650FP down feels just as lofty as bags I’ve used that cost twice as much. At 3.64 lbs, it’s not ultralight, but it’s light enough for backpacking and warm enough for early winter trips. Took it out in 20°F weather with a good pad and slept like a baby. The YKK zipper is smooth, and the two compression sacks are a nice touch.

I’m a side sleeper, so I was nervous about a mummy bag. But the 37.4” width gives me just enough room to shift without feeling trapped. The 3D chest baffle makes a real difference — no cold spots. I also love that they included a mesh storage bag; too many brands skip that and then wonder why their down bags lose loft. Used it on a Colorado shoulder season trip (lows around 25°F) and was perfectly comfortable.

I’ve used this on three trips now, including one where the temp dropped to 18°F. The PROMOTER 850 kept me warm with just a base layer and a decent pad. The hood cinches down nicely, and the draft tube actually works — no cold zipper leaks. The 20D shell feels durable but not crinkly. And the quad-compression sack is legit; I got it down to about the size of a large grapefruit. Highly recommend for anyone who wants real down performance without the luxury price tag.

I was really torn about which company to go with when purchasing a high-quality sleeping bag. We had just gotten our hunting blind, and we wanted the ability to sleep out there. We slept out there without a sleeping bag in 34° weather with a buddy heater, and we were freezing. The heater was too big for the space, so we couldn’t leave it on throughout the night. It would be too hot. Without it, we were far too cold.

Fast-forward a couple weeks and we slept out there again in freezing temps — this time in our atepa promoter 2000. Right around 32° in the morning. We were toasty all night long. I could feel that it was cold in the blind on my face (since that was the only exposed part), but it didn’t bother me as my entire body was warm.

I was really torn because we’ve really been trying to buy things that are American made. I would’ve really liked to support American made companies on this. But this kind of item is already so expensive with all of our other expenses lately I couldn’t justify it.. even being foreign made this is still a very expensive product, but in my opinion, it is absolutely worth it. You can tell it has a quality 3-D baffle Construction by looking at the bag as it expands. It didn’t feel like we had skimped out for the lesser product. I also really liked the hood feature. It’s comfortable, and keeps most of your head, nice and warm. I’m also one to toss and turn all night, and I was able to do that comfortably next to my husband in this sleeping bag. I would make the decision to buy it all over again.

We purchased directly from atepa, as they were having a sale. Might be worth checking their side directly to see if you’re getting the best price.

Surprisingly, there are not a lot of options for 2 person down 0 degree sleeping bags. I was very hesitant to purchase this sleeping bag at first as it is twice the price of other name brand 2 person sleeping bags but I needed something that was extremely lightweight as I needed it to fit within my closed roof top tent.

Although it is pricey, this sleeping bag did everything I needed it to do. It is extremely warm and VERY compact (my previous 2 person sleeping bag was 3 times the weight and like 5 times the size when packed). Just make sure to let the down fluff up for a while before you sleep in for maximum heat retention.

That being said, there is a bit of a dog odor with the sleeping bag. It is not insanely bad smelling but definitely annoying and hopefully will disappear in time. I read else where that it may be related to the type of down (duck) being used.

Very comfortable, fits two adults very comfortably. Keeps you warm in colder weather. Love the color. Quality stitching and zipper. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this purchase

Very well insulated sleeping bag for cold weather, has a great feel to it and keeps you nice and warm. It is very spacious and allows for plenty of room for two people to be able to use! The materials are great quality, very durable and comparable to high end camping companies! The color is very neutral and is pretty at the same time. Very lightweight, easy to pack up and go camping or hiking with. While it is fairly large it doesn't take up a great amount of packing space either. Great value!

This sleeping bag is big enough for two to sleep comfortably. It says that it's a 4 season bag, and with two people, it might be - I wouldn't rely on it as a single sleeper though. There are a few voids in the down, and the loft isn't quite as much as I would expect for a 650+ fill bag.

That said, it's really a very nice bag, and relatively light weight for a two-person sleeping bag.

I got this for winter camping in my car and I love it because it's warm, and it still lets me sprawl out. The build quality is nice, too.

Fairly light bag - fluffs up very lofty down filled keeps very warm. well made sleeping bag. Very rare to find down filled sleeping bag with nylon outer to keep dry. Rolling it back up took abit of time - had to squish everything back down. Good item for camping or rv use.
