KingCamp HURON 250 Sleeping Bag | 3-Season Envelope Bag with Hood

This sleeping bag is better than expected. I have a sleeping bag which is thicker than this one, but Ive had it for many years and lately it doesnt seem to be as warm as I recall it being. So I ordered this replacement and was pleasantly surprised. It is definitely much thinner and more lightweight. The length/width are pretty much the same. The main difference is the side zipper is on the left side instead of the right, plus it has a zipper along the bottom for venting. The zippers are not as heavy duty, but they work smoothly and have a runner strip to avoid zipper catching and snagging the fabric. So far I am loving how cozy and warm this lightweight sleeping bag is.As for the compression bag, unfortunately I will not be able to use it. My experience is that items that come with storage/carry bags are usually factory packed so tightly and end up being problematic. I struggled for several minutes trying to pull out the tightly packed sleeping bag. After it came out, it instantly puffed up due to it having been pretty much vacuum-packed inside. I will not even attempt to stuff this sleeping bag back into the storage bag as I know it will be impossible, especially with arthritic hands. I will be using the plastic bag it came in for storage until I find a better DIY substitute storage/carry bag. (See the side-by-side images below.)I wish that storage bags were made a reasonable size, but I understand that manufacturers scrimp on material whenever possible to cut down on production costs. Step 4 online instructions, by the way, is misleading. It actually shows the sleeping bag being pulled out for the first time, NOT stuffing back inside for storage. The average person would not be able to successfully accomplish this arduous task.

Great Color. Thin. Think Summer camping. Perfect to throw in car. Great for just sitting on the back of car drinking coffee. Not for cold nights. Price is right.

The color of this sleeping bag is AWESOME....light purple! Love it! This is for my 13 yr old daughter, but there's enough room in this sleeping bag to give an adult over 6ft tall a comfy, cozy, warm rest after a day of adventures. As big as it is, it rolls up surprisingly small....it'll pack nicely in a hiking bag, and weighs only a little over 3 lbs. It's so light because it's filled with microfiber, which is also extremely soft and comfy. The outer shell is water resistant and tough, and the quilting will keep the filling from bunching up after washing. The side and foot zippers are super strong and are designed to not eat the sleeping bag every time you zip. ALOT of thought and design went into the making of this sleeping bag. The craftsmanship, value and quality of the materials are excellent. Top notch!!

This is on the lower end cost in the sleeping bag arena but extremely functional. Its lightweight and reliable for all things camping, sleep overs and more. The bags color is a beautiful rich purple. The fabric appears to be water repellent. It is well made with good attention to stitching details. The shape is unique, offering some head coverage on really chilly nights. Its large size has ample room to accommodate most body sizes. I think overall its perfect for mild to moderately cold nights and not for cold weather camping. Good quality and function for the price. A great starter sleeping bag.

I like this sleeping bag, it'll make a great summer bag to keep in the car.Unless you're in a southern climate, this is effectively a summer-only bag and even then be aware of your surroundings. It's a light-weight sleeping bag that will keep you warm if the outside temperature is above ~50f (per the web page 54f for women, 44f for men). I've camped in the desert in May and it got far colder than that at night.The bag overall is very nice - quality construction, good feeling material, nicely functioning zipper, very agreeable colors and comes with an excellent, high-quality storage bag. It's not down so doesn't compress as tightly so takes more space than you may expect for a light-weight bag. But it is light and portable.Overall, for the right purposes this is a very nice bag. Just be aware of the limits.

Have not slept in this bag yet, but after receiving it, I gave it a thorough inspection and I like it very much. It's nice quality, and appears well made. The zippers are good and it was easy to roll back up and put it back into it's bag. Probably will not be much good for anything beyond spring and summer camping, but it's definitely a nice item. Very happy with it.

I am always on the lookout for good quality sleeping bags and camping gear for our summer trips. I prefer items that pack down well for storage for the rest of the year. This sleeping bag absolutely fits that bill.The fabric is soft, and the sleeping bag rolls up into a nice and compact size. These are the most important factors for me, since we rarely go camping when it is extremely cold outside (so as long as its warm, its enough for us).I love the color and the softness of the fabric. The filling seems evenly distributed and good quality, also.I am very happy with this sleeping bag and would recommend it to others as an economical, portable, and useful sleeping bag.

This is a nice sleeping bag, but is not designed for intensely cold weather (I think it said something about >=50F). It is very compact and comes in a nice bag which keeps it rolled and the handle on one end makes for easy transport. This is something that would make a good addition to the trunk of a car in case of emergency.

This is a nice sized sleeping bag. It's warm and good quality. I like the built in part for your head to rest on. I think it's pretty good for the price

This sleeping bag feels very comfortable and appears to use a nice quality material. The zippers work nicely and glide without snagging on material. I like that the bottom can open to allow more airflow to someone who might get warm feet when they sleep. The hooded part is my favorite part since I typically sleep with my head covered inside my sleeping bags. This will allow me to keep my head warm while having my face out of the sleeping bag. It is not overly heavy but holds body heat in really nicely. It is a bit narrow for a sleeping bag, but I fit it just fine and if I wanted to stuff a blanket inside it, it would fit without issue. I was able to roll it back up and put it into the bag without much hassle. I am happy with it!

So, if you spend time outdoors you do know how important it is to have the right QUALITY gear. It's why we pay so much for certain name brands. What I can tell you about this sleeping bag is that I feel strongly about the quality of it. I also run Kelty and Northface stuff and this bag is just as good as those other ones. This sleeping bag can easily keep you warm in all seasons with the right accompanying gear with it. Wide, warm and wicks moisture away when needed. Good solid stuff sack. You're good to go with this bag. Not sure if you summer camp, if you do, I wouldn't use this one.

Very comfy, very warm, this is a great sleeping bag! And the bag it wraps into has straps, making it very easy to carry or strap to something else. LOVE!!

This bag has all the features you would want for spring through fall camping. Its lightweight and folds down small enough into the accompanying bag. The inside is almost a fine gauge fleece material compared to the slick nylon exterior. I like the hood part so you can keep your head warm if needed. There is a Velcro tab at the top of the zipper to keep any unzipping from happening overnight. Overall really very happy with this item.

Grabbed this bag as our family has recently gotten back into camping and it's the perfect size for my daughter. It's lightweight and warm. Not a middle of winter bag, but during the other 3 seasons I think it will work great. It's also lightweight and packs down into a small form factor, I think it would work for backpacking, kayak, or hammock camping.
