I’m really pleased with this little pillow, especially considering the reasonable price! As I was getting ready for my annual fishing trip, I realized I needed a new pillow for my cot, and this one caught my eye. It’s lightweight, which is nice, but since I'm not hiking with it, that wasn’t a major concern for me. Its compact size is a bonus, making it easy to pack into our bins without taking up too much space.

Inflating the pillow is a breeze—it took me less than ten breaths, just like the listing promised. One minor hiccup was getting the hole in the cover to align with the valve, but it’s not a huge issue. I also appreciate that the cover is removable and washable, which is essential for camping gear. It means I can keep it clean and fresh after our trips.

Overall, I’m really happy with this pillow and can’t wait to take it out into the wilderness on my fishing trip. It feels like a solid choice for anyone looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

Good pillow, outer material feels nice to the face. The cover has memory foam inside so this is not for camping at freezing or below unless you are hot tenting.

The pillow in the carry sack weighs 382g and without the sack weighs 352.

Very nice camping pillow. I don't do any backpacking trips, but I definitely like going camping at a campsite in a tent and this would definitely do the trick and also save some room in the car since this folds up nicely.

This is not an “ultra-light” pillow. However, I’m not a hard-core backpacker/hiker and don’t have any immediate plans to attempt the Appalachian Trail. Therefore, for occasional camping and general travel, this pillow is perfect. Nothing wrecks my vacation plans faster than a terrible night’s sleep on a jacked up pillow and the Kingcamp solves that particular issue nicely.

The Kingcamp Inflatable Memory Foam Camping pillow is lighter and smaller than traveling with a standard pillow. As such, it packs away nicely and is very comfortable to sleep on. I found that inflating the pillow about to about 65% is the perfect amount of support for me.

Pros:

- Packs down much smaller than a “standard” pillow.
- Customize the inflation to your support preference.
- Comfortable memory foam top works well with the inflatable air bladder.
- Washable cover.
- Very quick to inflate with just a few deep breaths. The one way valve keeps air from escaping while you inflate the pillow.

Cons:

- Most would consider heavy in a limited pack.
- Still quite sizeable “packed down” if you are limited on space in a backpack.

Since my use cases are specific to travel and the occasional camping trip, I consider the Kingcamp Inflatable Memory Foam Camping Pillow to be a win at this price. I would easily recommend this to friends and family for similar use.

I am so impressed with this pillow! It takes camping pillows to a whole new level of comfort! It was easy to inflate - took about 40 deep breaths. There is a valve stopped in the inflatable part so the air doesn't come rushing out as you take your next breath. And the material is so soft. I am a highly sensitive person and this totally works for me. It is padded on one side and is a dream to lay your head on but also can double for great lower back support. It folds up small, is lightweight, comes with two elastic cords and a patch. I am so thankful I got this!

KingCamp Camping Pillow Review

I really wanted to like this pillow. I'm a big guy and appreciate a pillow big enough to allow me to move my head around some and have it still under me. I like the fact that it has an air mattress strap to help keep it from scooting out from under me at night. The color is attractive and it's great that the cover is removable for washing.

But I have a few issues with it that don't allow me to give it 5 stars:
- This sucker is pretty heavy, and if I was backpacking it would not come along. They state that it is lightweight, but that claim is subjective. At 14.8 ounces it is over 3/4 of a pound and that's a LOT of weight for a one-trick pony. However, for my horse pack trips this is not much weight if it provides extra comfort at night.

- I am concerned about the longevity of the air bladder. I seems to be made of plastic that is not much thicker than a heavy duty Ziplock bag. Not even thick as one of those boxed wine bladders. No where in the description do they mention what it is made of, so I cannot ascertain what the material is. Two adhesive repair patches are included. I guess if the bag did pop you could just fill it with a down jacket or fleece top. The memory foam top is quite comfortable after all.

- I had a heck of a time dealing with the inflation valve. It simply would not stay put directly under the hole for it in the outer cover. So as soon as I started inflating the bladder the valve would creep to the inside (see photo). And I was using an inflator. When I'd try to adjust the valve's position, invariably I would accidentally stick my finger into the self-closing valve and—woosh—most of the air would be let out! They need to modify this set up so that the inner bladder has a flat, thin ring around it that is wider than the opening of the outer cover, so that you can pull the valve opening to the OUTSIDE of the outer liner where it would be more apt to stay put.

-They claim it is great for side sleepers. Well, maybe if you are a child or little person. I'm 6'2" and weigh 230 pounds with wide shoulders AND I am a side sleeper. This pillow is NOT useful for me in that position, so I am going to have to pile up gear and clothing under this pillow to get it high enough to give me shoulder relief. (But I have had to do that with EVERY pillow I have tried.) It's Ok for starting out on my back, but as soon as I roll over—that's it as far as comfort goes.

-The inner bladder does crinkle a bit but because of the memory foam topper most of that noise is suppressed.

Having said all that. . .as long you are not ultra-weight conscious, the bladder holds up, and YOU don't have issues blowing it up, then it will be a fine pillow for you. My wife will like it for her back on long car trips. It would be a luxury on a long flight. And I will try it on my next horse pack trip. If the bladder pops I'll just stuff the back with extra clothes. But is it my dream pillow? It's getting closer—but no.

This pillow is as comfortable as a blow up pillow can be. It is easy to inflate, deflate, and store. The pillow holds air all night and is perfect size for camping.

This has quickly become my new favorite pillow for camping and backpacking! It's so small and blows up very big. This pillow has more than enough real estate for my head allowing me to sleep until the next day without developing a creek in my neck. The foam layer that surrounds the inflatable portion of the pillow is pure genius and allows the pillow to feel like a regular pillow without taking up as much space. The inflatable is great and allows you to blow it up to your desired comfort level, allowing you to have a firmer or softer pillow if you want. Overall it's lightweight enough to justify putting in my backpacking gear and after a couple nights on the trail proved itself over and over. All in all this has been a great pillow and has relieved my neck from a considerable amount of pain and ache from sleeping on the ground. I would definitely suggest one for my fellow campers and backpackers.

I'm currently using this on a tent camping week. It is vastly superior to my previous pillow. It's the memory foam. Very comfortable. The air valve makes it easy to inflate and adjust to your desired firmness. Stays inflated all night. Easy to wash removable cover. Love it!

This is comfortable and packs nicely with my self inflating mat for when I camp in my car. I appreciate that I have a designated camping pillow instead of having to remember to pack mine, and it packs small enough to not take much room.

I have been using a particular brand of camp pillow for years and love it. Compact, light -- the only issue is it can make my head and neck sweat if it's warm enough, so I have to put a cover over it. I've been looking for a replacement that might provide a little more comfort, so I decided to give this one a try. If I look at the design, it's more of an air bladder with a cover. The bladder is light, but the cover adds bulk and weight that may or may not be appealing to you.

I would find this pillow great for any situation where weight is not a concern. It's not heavy (per se), but it's not light and it does take up more space than your true backpacking pillow. Always make sure you have the right tool for the job.

Under the right conditions, this pillow is a good option.

This camping pillow is great for backpacking. Very lightweight and pretty comfortable. It has enough volume to support your head while sleeping on your side and you can adjust the loft by inflating it to your preference.

Good size - not too large or too small. It was comfortable for sleeping. Easy enough to inflate and deflate.

Good in a pinch. Small size and easy to store and carry.

Very compact and lightweight inflatable pillow. Haven`t used it yet, but it holds air and really is very lightweight and great for any hiking trip

Nice SMALL portable camp pillow. It is comfortable'ish, and just the right size. My concern is that the air bag on the inside feels like it is about as thick as a Ziploc bag so we will have to see how long it holds up with use.

If you are like me, then a coat over your pack does not provide a comfortable pillow setup. I think its well worth the extra 3/4lb weight to carry a soft inflatable pillow like this one.

I inflated it fully in about 8 deep breaths and the pillow expanded into a really comfy packing pillow. The outside has a pleasant soft feel against your face because of the memory foam underlayment. The pillow firmness was easy to adjust and it deflated quickly to where you can roll it up and shove it in the little stuff sack in about a minute.

I knocked off a star because the inner air bladder seems to be made of somewhat thin plastic. I'm sure its OK for a pillow but if you were to use it as a seat when camping it may just be overtaxed. Then again, a thicker plastic bladder means a heavier carry weight so this one is probably a good compromise.

Great size. Comfy, the material is super soft, it almost feels like there's a pillow case on there. Quick to inflate and deflate. Packs down small enough in my hunting back pack, and really lightweight. I can see this being used for travel as well, would go great in a carry on.

I’ve used the KingCamp Camping Pillow on a few trips now, including a hiking and beach camping trip, and it’s been a solid addition to my gear. Comfort-wise, it does the job. You can inflate it to whatever firmness you like, and it provides decent support for your neck and head whether you sleep on your back or side. It’s not going to rival your favorite pillow at home, but for camping, it works just fine.

The materials are practical. The outer cover is soft and doesn’t feel scratchy, and the fact that it’s removable and washable is a big plus. After a couple of sandy nights, I tossed it in the wash, and it came out looking like new. It’s durable enough for the outdoors but doesn’t have that stiff, plasticky feel you sometimes get with camping gear.

Inflation is simple—just a few breaths, and it’s ready to go. The valve works well, and I didn’t notice any leaks during the night. Deflating it is just as easy, and it rolls up quickly without much fuss.

If there’s one thing I’d tweak, it’s that the pillow doesn’t have much shaping to keep your head in place, so it can shift around if you’re restless. It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you’re a mover, it might bug you. A sleeping pad with a pillow sleeve or some kind of non-slip backing could help.

All in all, it’s a good camping pillow. It’s lightweight, compact, easy to clean, and comfortable enough for a few nights outdoors. It’s not perfect, but it’s dependable, and I’m happy to have it in my pack. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars, mostly because of the shifting issue, but it’s a nice little pillow for camping and backpacking.

I have a few camping pillows and really like the material used on this. It is slightly noisy due to the airbag inside of the memory foam cover, but that is par for the course. The one thing that bothers me though is that the inflation point doesn't mount/hold in place. This is not what you want when you've got dirty hands out camping.

With my other pillows, the tab at the bottom of the inflation valve has a circular piece that goes up through the outer cover and holds. I don't know why this pillow doesn't have that. This is the one thing I'd change to give this a 5-star rating. Other than that important detail, the rest of this camping pillow works great.

The straps have buckles on both sides that can be easily detached/attached for your needs. The memory foam that you put your face on is super comfy. The bag is a good size and stores the pillow without any fuss. Other than the valve stem of the airbag not clipping into the outer case, I really love this thing and can recommend it.

This is probably the most comfortable inflatable pillow I've ever laid my head on. The simple I-beams inside the bladder and the foam cover go a very long way, and it's plenty large. I also like the included strap, to keep it on a sleeping pad or a car headrest.

It is quite crinkly whenever you move your head. The bladder feels like polypropylene, and is very thin like a freezer bag. It's a bit stretchier than those, and is protected inside the outer cloth, but I'd still be careful not to puncture it. Some patches are included, but they aren't self adhesive.

The inflation valve's plug loops through a slot in the pillowcase to hold it in place. Some other reviewers mentioned they had trouble with it getting lost in the cover, but it worked just fine for me. Getting the plug through that slot when removing and inserting the bladder does take some effort, though.

Washing instructions for the cover are to hand wash only, and air dry. No bleach, no dry cleaning, no ironing.

Overall quality, bladder aside, is good. The fabric is also on the thin side, but is a stretchy type that feels pretty tear-resistant. There's plenty of room in the storage bag to fit the pillow once folded in half and rolled up; no fighting to get it back in. Two elastic straps are included to keep it rolled.

Weight is a little high for backpacking use, but it still rolls up to be pretty compact. On the flip side, it is very comfortable.

Overall, I quite like this pillow, and would recommend it if you're camping from a vehicle of some sort (car, etc), but space is too limited to bring along a full pillow. I could see it being useful for car/bus/air travel, too.
